You will need a new passport if:

• You have never had a U.S. passport
• Your expired passport was issued more than 15 years ago
• Your expired passport was issued when a client was 15 or younger

• Traveller has U.S. passport and was 16 when it was issued
• Passport was issued less than 15 years ago

Note: Children's passports can't be renewed.
